About me
Annick Vuissoz is a Swiss trained object conservator with over 20 years of experience, gathered while working in Europe, North America (ASM, NMAI, AMNH, CMNH), Pacific, and Antarctica. She has a wide experience with ethnographic, historic, and archaeological collections, as well as modern and contemporary art, both in the private and public sectors.
Her experience include: the on-site preservation of Scott’s and Shackelton’s huts and objects with the Antarctic Heritage Trust, the recovery of the earthquake damaged Māori and Pacific Island collection at the Canterbury Museum (New Zealand), the renovation of the Northwest Coast Hall at the American Museum of Natural History, and the management of small to large scale conservation projects, and the treatment of a wide array of artifacts and artworks at International Conservation Services (Australia).
She currently works as a project conservator and lab manager at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, in Pittsburgh.
