About me
Emma Fritschel is a textile artist based in Boston, Massachusetts who has been on the textile conservation track for about two years now. She studied as a Fulbright Scholar in India for nine months learning about traditional handloom weaving in Orissa, India, and its legibility within art history discourse. She has a BS in Studio art from Skidmore College. In 2023, she worked at Windsor Conservation on Olga de Amarel’s El Gran Muro. She currently works as a Collections Maintenance Technician at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
