About me
Ellen Rand, co-owner and Conservation Specialist of Monumenta Art Conservation & Finishing, started her career fabricating sculpture at art foundries; her extensive experience welding, chasing, patinating, and her knowledge of metal production techniques, including casting, is invaluable in the context of preservation. Through Rand Atelier LLC, Ms. Rand consults and works with living artists and artist’s estates, including Christopher Wool and the Tony Smith Estate, and has taught patina techniques to high-end art fabricators in Italy and Asia.
