Elroy White is a Heiltsuk Nation member, potlatcher, repatriation advisor and archaeologist (MA). Elroy specializes on the complex relationship between material culture, potlatch history and repatriation on behalf of his nation through his approach called “M̓ṇúxvit,” which means to ‘unite or become one.’ Recently, he specializes in repatriation policy, art style and has established networking relationships with museum staff members and leaders of First Nations. He works for Heiltsuk Integrated Resource Management Department (HIRMD Office) as a Repatriation Advisor. Recently, he inherited a chieftainship in 2019 and is an active member of joint leadership.
