About me
Grégoire Bernand has been working in the private sector as an art protection specialist. He has lived in five different countries in the ten years following, as a consultant.
He has helped museums establish emergency plans focusing on fire damage prevention.
More specifically, he has collaborated with numerous cultural institutions to help them protect their collections of all types of artworks (paintings, statues, displays, books, textiles...) from direct and indirect damage caused by fire.
This also involved guiding dozens of museums on how to implement best practices in case of fire emergencies.
Additionally, he regularly participates in onsite training organized by cultural institutions and firefighters, helping them develop and implement effective fire emergency responses.
Grégoire is a frequent speaker at seminars, focusing on protecting artwork from fire damage. Recent examples include ICOM-CC Triennial Conference in Valencia and Blue Shield committees in France.
