About me
Grace is a paper conservator at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.. She received a Master of Arts and Certificate of Advanced Study in Art Conservation from SUNY Buffalo State in 2020 where she specialized in paper conservation. Previously, Grace worked at a wide range of institutions including: the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, the Weissman Preservation Center at Harvard Libraries, and the Menil Collection. Her background in architecture (Clemson University) prior to art conservation provided her with a foundation in spatial planning, an understanding of the importance of material choices, creative problem solving, and collegial collaboration. Her current research pursuits include novel imaging techniques to observe paper, in-depth research into the working methods of modern artists, and pursuing long-term solutions to extend the field of conservation to better reflect the diversity of objects that we steward.
