About me
Dr Jerrod Seifert is an Associate Professor of Conservation at the University of Oslo. His areas of focus include the preservation and managment of archaeological sites and objects, sustainable heritage, prehistoric earthen architecture, and the corrosion and deterioration pathways of archaeological metals. He holds bachelor degress in Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology and Art History from the University of Minnesota, a MSc in Conservation Practice from Cardiff University, and a PhD in Conservation Science from Cardiff University. He has worked as both an archaeologist and archaeological conservator in several countries, including Turkey where he was senior conservator at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Catalhoyuk, and Hungary where he serves as co-PI of the Vésztő- Mágor Conservation and Exhibition Program.
