About me
Jo Lynne, in her quest for knowledge, has obtained college degrees in fine art, psychology, and a master’s in museum studies. Her enthusiasm for conservation increased during her master’s in museum studies as a student of Harriet “Rae” Beaubien. During this time she dismantled and reconstructed a large Mimbres corrugated vessel which became chapter 11 of a report found on Academia. While working on a degree in archaeology, she obtained the chemistry needed to apply to a conservator program for the fall of 2025. As an awardee of The Cheryl Wase scholarship, Jo Lynne was able to go to Macedonia for her field school and take part in the preservation/conservation of Roman Mosaic tiles in situ. Her areas of interest are diverse with in-depth study of textiles, ceramics, Chinese Funerary Sculptures (Han – Tang Dynasties), SW Native Americans figures, and South America prior to the Spanish invasion. She has experience working in several APA quality museums and is a collection steward for the Native American Community in their Cultural Center - Museum that is in process of being established. This is her first attempt at presenting at a conference.
