About me
Katie Linder was a Marshall Steel Post-Graduate Fellow in Archaeological Materials Conservation at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation from 2023 to 2024. Before her fellowship, she was part of the Field Museum Conservation team for the Native Truths: Our Voices, Our Stories exhibition redevelopment and the IMLS-grant funded Bead Stabilization Project. She holds a MSc (2020) in Conservation Practice from Cardiff University. She undertook her work placement with Historic England, where she assisted with the documentation and treatment of archaeological assemblages from two shipwrecks. Prior to that, she interned at Loyola University Chicago’s Museum of Art and the Minneapolis Central Library in Minnesota. She has also worked and volunteered at local museums and historical societies in the UK and US. As of the fall of 2024, she is a maritime collections specialist at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum.
