About me
Kelani Nichole is a technologist and the founder of TRANSFER, an experimental media art space. She has been exploring decentralized networks and virtual worlds in contemporary art since 2013. Nichole’s focus is supporting artists with critical technology practice, and prototyping open cultural infrastructure. She has produced numerous solidarity experiments including the TRANSFER Download, an immersive exhibition format for virtual artworks. Currently she is building the TRANSFER Data Trust, a decentralized archive and cooperative trust for cultural value exchange. Nichole resides in Miami and NYC, where she is a visiting scholar at NYU Tandon School of Engineering in the Integrated Design and Media Program.
