About me
Nikita Shah is an Assistant Conservator of Paintings at Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. She earned an M.A. in Art Conservation from the National Museum Institute in New Delhi, India; followed by an M.S. in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage from the University of Amsterdam, specializing in easel paintings. Prior to joining the MFAH, Nikita held various internships and fellowships at J Paul Getty Museum (Los Angeles, California, USA), Yale University Art Gallery (New Haven, Connecticut, USA), Stichting Restauratie Atelier Limburg (Maastricht, The Netherlands). Through her work, Nikita has been gaining experience on how conservation is approached in different parts of the world. She is currently an assistant coordinator in the Paintings Working Group of ICOM-CC.
