About me
Patricia Schossler is a Brazilian chemist working as researcher and consultant in national and international projects related to conservation of modern materials. She specializes in identification and characterization of modern paints and (semi) synthetic polymers by a number of analytical techniques including gas chromatography/mass spectrometry and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. Her works include the identification and characterization of the modern materials and possible degradation products in order to assist conservators and art historians in understanding the techniques and materials used by the artist as well as support decisions related to the preventive and interventive conservation procedures.
