About me
Saskia van Oudheusden is a paintings conservator at the Van Gogh Museum since 2017. She obtained a MA in Cultural Studies at the Radboud University Nijmegen in 2010 and a MA in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at the University of Amsterdam in 2012, specializing in paintings. As a paintings conservator and researcher she has worked for museums and institutions including the National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin, the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands (RCE) and the University of Amsterdam. She has carried out conservation projects and research on various works by Van Gogh and contemporaries. Currently she is involved in the publication of the final volume of the collection catalogue on Vincent van Gogh’s painting technique and materials in his late French period.
