About me
Sarah Rontal is a Conservation Outreach Specialist at the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art where she develops educational programs and outreach materials highlighting behind-the-scenes work by the museum’s conservators and scientists. She is an experienced educator, formerly teaching at Montgomery County Public Schools (Maryland) and Stella International School (Japan). Previously, she worked in public affairs at the Embassy of Japan in the U.S., where she developed outreach content and coordinated cultural events. Sarah holds a B.A. in Anthropology and East Asian Studies from Brandeis University and an M.Ed. in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Maryland.
