About me
María Cristina Rivera Ramos holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, with a Minor in Art Theory, and an M.A. in Cultural Agency and Administration from the University of Puerto Rico. She completed her training in conservation at Buffalo State College, where she specialized in works of art on paper. She joined the Art Institute of Chicago as a Graduate Intern in 2016, and currently works as Assistant Conservator, Paper. Prior to this she held pre-program positions in paintings and paper conservation at the Museo de Arte de Ponce, and completed internships at the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in La Habana.
