About me
Allison Slenker currently serves as the sole Objects Conservator at the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields. Since joining the museum in 2021 after graduating from the Garman Art Conservation Program at Buffalo State, she has been responsible for preserving a wide range of objects, including outdoor sculptures, contemporary art, decorative arts, and cultural heritage from around the globe. Her approach to conservation emphasizes practical solutions and fostering a shared understanding of cultural heritage through accessible education. As a dedicated Midwesterner, Slenker is also actively involved in the conservation community, presently serving as the Treasurer of the Midwest Regional Conservation Guild.
