About me
In 1998, I graduated Vilnius Technology College. From 2000 until now, I have been working in Šiauliai “Aušros” Museum, Šiauliai, Lithuania.
Because it is a museum, I have to deal with various kinds of paper objects: documents, books, works of art and photographs. Such a variety creates many challenges.
In 2002, I participated in Japanese paper restoration courses organized by ICCROM and National Research Institute for Cultural Properties of Japan (NRICP Tokyo, JP). In 2023, I was invited to attend a short-term training program on the conservation of photographic materials at the Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC, USA, MA).
I share my experience by training paper restorers for other cultural institutions and prepare presentations at conferences, seminars organized in Lithuania and other Baltic countries.
