About me
Laura Kubick is the owner and Principal Object and Sculpture Conservator of KCI Conservation, a 3-conservator object conservation practice in Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN. Laura took over ownership of KCI in 2019 after working in the firm for 5 years. Prior to joining KCI, Laura ran the Object and Variable Art conservation lab at the Indianapolis Museum of Art (now Newfields) and was a post-graduate fellow at the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s Lunder Conservation Center. Laura holds a Master of Science degree from the Winterthur-University of Delaware Art Program in Art Conservation. Laura loves the inherent variety of objects conservation and frequently works with a wide range of objects and materials in private and public collections, including fine art, historic artifacts, public art, art of indigenous peoples, and outdoor sculpture. She has developed particular expertise in the conservation of contemporary art and the conservation of painted outdoor sculpture.
