Marina Ruiz Molina Marina Ruiz Molina trained as a conservator at the Escuela Superior de Restauración y Conservación de Bienes Culturales de Madrid, Spain, in 2000, and completed her education through Fellowships at the Stedeljikmuseum and the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, as well as the Reina Sofía Museum and the National Institute for Conservation of Cultural Heritage in Madrid. She joined the Sherman Fairchild Center for Works on Paper and Photograph Conservation at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2008 to complete a Research Scholarship and became a member of the staff in 2010. Marina serves as liaison across diverse museum collections with a focus on Southeast Asian, as she studies and cares for Indian paintings on paper for the Department of Asian Art. She has also worked for years on the conservation of the collection of works on paper by the studios of Louis Comfort Tiffany. She has contributed significantly to The Met's ongoing efforts to improve the standardization of technical imaging and the establishment of best practices for multiband photography. Marina is an active researcher and mentor, and she publishes, presents, and teaches regularly in New York, India, and other parts of the world.
