About me
Ruthie Rolfsmeyer is a member of the Class of 2024 Garman Art Conservation program at the State University of New York in Buffalo. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts with a minor in Art History at Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin. She is currently enjoying a graduate internship at the Art Institute of Chicago.
Ruthie's master’s project focused on the analysis and treatment of two painted wood assemblage sculptures by the artist Marisol. Her first-year summer internship was at The Menil Collection in Houston, Texas, where her focus was on the research and treatment of two painted fiberglass reinforced polyester resin sculptures by Niki de Saint Phalle. Previously, Ruthie has worked for the University of Wisconsin—Madison Memorial Library, PARMA Conservation, and the Kohler Foundation.
